Dr. Kira received her doctoral degree in Counseling and Counselor Education from Old Dominion University and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University. Dr. Kira provides a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for clients to explore their underlying issues and concerns. She utilizes a variety of treatment methods and modalities. Dr. Kira believes in the power of the counseling relationship and feels privileged to support clients through the therapeutic process.

Dr. Kira offers trauma-informed and culturally responsive counseling to her clients. Her clinical work focuses on supporting clients with attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD)/attention deficit disorder (ADD), anger-management issues, anxiety, autism, grief and loss, relationship issues/concerns, self-esteem, trauma, as well as during general life-transitional phases and adjustments. Dr. Kira utilizes a variety of treatment modalities and varies her therapeutic approach to meet each client’s unique, individual needs.
