Shep received his master’s degree in Mental health Counseling from Capella University. He has over 16 years of experience in mental and behavioral health, including substance use, addiction with co-occurring disorders, as well as adjustment-related concerns. He employs an integrative approach based on the client’s needs and concerns. Shep’s interventions include cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, person-centered, and solution-focused to best help clients sort through the complex issues in their lives and to create balance.
Shep enjoys helping adolescents and adults with a variety of mood, behavioral, and adjustment-related disorders. Shep also enjoys working with individuals with substance use to develop a new perspective on their concerns and to understand that there is a path towards a healthy life with an increased ability to function and thrive.
