Finding Solid Ground

Finding Solid Ground (FSG) is an evidence-based psychoeducational program for individuals with dissociative disorders, including the dissociative subtype of PTSD, to build stability, safety, functioning, and to improve emotional regulation. Groups are closed-ended and run for 31 weeks. Participants report increased emotional regulation, decreased trauma-based symptoms, and an increased ability to feel safer in the present.

Kim Foreman, LCSW, LCSW-C, LICSW, facilitates the group. She received facilitation training for Finding Solid Ground groups and has found FSG invaluable for client stabilization and treatment, both anecdotally and through research. Kim participated as a researcher in Purdue University’s Finding Solid Ground Groups Project, co-authored two articles about the study, and has presented on Finding Solid Ground groups.

Groups are virtual and available to clients in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.
