Kathleen is a compassionate and dedicated counselor experienced in working with adults using a variety of integrative theoretical perspectives. Kathleen is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and a Master ART Practitioner, which allows her to support clients through the healing process quicker than traditional talk therapy.
Kathleen is passionate about supporting individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, childhood abuse, sexual assault, and interpersonal difficulties.
Kathleen has over a decade experience in the behavioral health field, having worked in a variety of settings with children, adolescents, and adults, although her current work focuses on adults.
Kathleen makes every effort to establish a collaborative and trusting relationship with her clients and believes that self-compassion, emotional awareness, and effective thinking patterns are powerful tools in managing life’s challenges and cultivating a life of meaning and fulfillment.
Kathleen approaches sessions with a calm and respectful demeanor. Her interventions are emotion-focused and strengths-based, tailored to the client’s specific goals and needs. She utilizes a variety of integrative theoretical perspectives, including cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy (CBT, DBT), accelerated resolution therapy (ART) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
