Amber's Bio

Amber partners with adults of all ages who are facing challenges with life’s ups and downs and are seeking healing and connection. Her practice focuses on equipping clients with the essential skills needed to regulate the nervous system, build emotional resilience, and cultivate deeper self-awareness to foster lasting, meaningful change.

Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrating mindfulness and expressive therapies into her work, her approach is strongly informed by Polyvagal Theory, and she enjoys helping clients understand how their brains and nervous systems shape how they see the world, which impacts their emotional and relational experiences.

Amber particularly focuses on supporting women through challenges related to the postpartum period, complex medical issues, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress management.

Amber has 12 years experience in the mental health field in a variety of settings, to include intensive in-home, case management, and residential treatment. In the past 5 years, Amber has been working as a licensed therapist in private practice and the hospital setting.

Amber has advanced training in complex medical conditions and anxiety, and she has also been trained in biofeedback, specifically regarding the connection between Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and autonomic dysfunction. Amber also has advanced training in women’s health and polyvagal theory which focuses on the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system.

Amber believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. She is committed to showing up with empathy, presence, and perspective, helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging moments with compassion and care.

Amber’s approach is warm, inquisitive, and open-minded. She utilizes polyvagal therapy and nervous system regulation to help individuals navigate and overcome the challenges of life. Amber also utilizes CBT and person-centered approaches, as meeting the client where they are at is vital in the helping relationship.
