Kim has worked with a variety of clients in a variety of roles for the past 25 years and is passionate about holding space for clients, from a client-centered, humanistic perspective, as they work towards meaningful growth and healing.

Kim specializes in the treatment of complex trauma and dissociative disorders. She provides consultation services and facilitates a Finding Solid Ground group. Kim is appreciative of the opportunity to work with a group of clients she deeply respects.

Kim also works with clients who are addressing anxiety difficulties, family of origin issues, and attachment and relational issues.

Kim has over 25 years of post-master experience. She has worked in non-profit settings and management and entered into private practice in 2010. Kim has several years of experience with adolescents and families, although her current work focuses on adults.

Kim views her clients as human beings first, over and above any diagnosis or set of symptoms. Unconditional positive regard is central to her practice. Kim believes in meeting clients where they are and working at a pace that supports safety and security.

Therapy is relational and collaborative, with a strong attachment foundation. The therapeutic relationship is central to therapy. Relationships are built over time, as the client learns to feel safer and begins the healing process.

During that time, trust, empathy, and respect are developed through collaboration. The relationship developed in therapy can become an example of relational patterns, offering opportunity to understand and shift. Clients receive support as they manage safety and work through the complexities of their experiences.
