Rachel has over 10 years of experience providing care across a variety of settings, including children’s and adult acute care inpatient hospitalization, outpatient psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and outpatient substance abuse treatment. Her experience working with clients across different settings has given her a broad perspective on the counseling process.

Rachel believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to the counseling process. She strives to create a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being authentic and exploring their experiences. She meets each client with empathy, respect, and genuine curiosity, creating space for them to feel seen, heard, and understood.

She recognizes that every person brings their own experiences, strengths, and challenges to therapy, so she tailors the counseling process to meet the needs and goals of her clients.

At the foundation of Rachel’s work is a person-centered approach. Rachel incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She helps clients identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and develop healthier ways of thinking, coping, and responding to challenging situations.

She also utilizes a solution-focused approach, which emphasizes strengths, possibilities, and the steps clients can take toward the future they want. Rather than focusing solely on problems, Rachel helps clients recognize what is already working, identify their resources, and build on existing strengths to create meaningful progress.
