Caroline works with adults age 21 and older. The overarching model she utilizes is biopsychosocial, considering physical, psychological and social elements contributing to the client’s situation.
Caroline commonly employs elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, polyvagal theory, mindfulness and motivational interviewing, and has specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma. She enjoys working with caretakers, older adults and persons experiencing life transitions leading to stress, anxiety and depression.

Caroline has 30 years of experience working in various behavioral health settings to include inpatient, outpatient, and intensive outpatient settings. She has also worked in crisis management and substance abuse settings.
Her training and experience include trauma assessment and treatment, working with older adults and caretakers, and people experiencing transitions, such as marriage, divorce, retirement, adjusting to health issues, and bereavement. She also sees many clients who are dealing with anxiety and depression.
Caroline believes therapy needs to consider each person within the context of their physical, psychological, and social experiences. She uses a motivational enhancement approach, meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to identify and address their personal goals, strengths, and areas where growth and improvement are desired.
Caroline’s goal in treatment is to help clients feel heard and understood. She recognizes each person’s strengths while bringing her training and experience to address their challenges. She works to encourage self awareness and self compassion, foster a supportive environment, and promote behaviors that improve clients’ overall quality of life.
