Bryana's Bio

Bryana’s clinical work is with first responders and focuses on the short and long-term impact of shift work, sleep disruptions, hypervigilance and desensitization cycles, compassion fatigue and burnout, moral injury, and systemic betrayal. She also enjoys supporting clients who are navigating trauma, general mood disorders, life transitions and adjustment-related needs, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and adults who want to heal from childhood family dysfunction.

Bryana is the co-owner and co-founder of Wholehearted Counseling. She received her master’s degree in Art Therapy with a specialization in Counseling from Seton Hill University in 2013. She has over 15 years of experience in the behavioral health field and has worked in a variety of settings.

Bryana believes that clients are the experts of their own lives and that therapy is a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, respect, and trust. Her role as the therapist is to walk alongside the client as they deepen self-understanding and reconnect with their strengths while navigating life’s challenges. She believes in the healing power of authentic human connection.

She also believes in human resilience—that even in the face of trauma and adversity, people possess the capacity for healing, growth, and meaningful change.

Her approach is grounded in talk therapy techniques, and she integrates art therapy on a client-specific basis. Bryana works collaboratively with clients to address immediate symptoms while simultaneously exploring and challenging maladaptive patterns of behavior, providing practical strategies for effective change.

This approach supports increased self-awareness, increased sense of agency, improved overall quality of life, and sustainable long-term change.
